Fresh from my Master of Arts in Sociology (Research), I have had opportunities to hone my skills as a personable, incisive, and detail-oriented cultural analyst. I am looking for a contract or permanent role to contribute within the scope of data collection and cultural analytics, and keen to explore new research areas.

Graduate Research Assistant
NTU - (May 2022 - July 2022)
Collaborative research project with Associate Professor Patrick Williams on authenticity and identity in Korean popular fan cultures
Duties:
- Conducted literature review on fandom and celebrity culture, self and identity, and authenticity
- Contributed to study design, conducted data collection via digital ethnography and semi-structured interviews, organised data, and conducted thematic and inductive analysis of data
- Co-wrote a paper for submission to a journal (to be decided by co-author)

Graduate Research Assistant

Collaborative research project with Associate Professor Patrick Williams on internet culture and the construction of identity in digital space
Duties:
- Conducted literature review of digital media studies, subculture studies, and identity studies
- Co-wrote a book chapter for submission to an edited collection on digital media (to be decided by co-author)

Teaching Assistant
NTU - (August 2021 - November 2021)
Course: Social Psychology (undergraduate level), taught by Associate Professor Patrick Williams
Duties:
- Conducted weekly tutorials for over 60 students
- Facilitated in-class discussions
- Conducted consultation sessions with students to improve their in-class performance
- Graded assignments and offered feedback
- Set up online lectures using Microsoft Teams
- Ensured smooth running of both online and in-person lectures
- Managed students’ inquiries and other administrative tasks
