Experience

PLC/SCADA System Engineer at Automatic Controls & Instrumentation Pte. Ltd (Oct 2022 - Current) 

•Collaborated with a small team to integrate a Facility Management and Control System for a Medical Equipment Manufacturer.

•Utilized EcoStruxure Control Expert for Schneider Modicon M580 to write structured text and function block programming & Programming Python scripts for Ignition SCADA Servers.

•Prepared AutoCAD drawings for control panels and servers for cleanroom and HVAC applications.

•Ensured field equipment and instruments such as VSDs, pressure differential and temperature transmitters were correctly terminated and configured.

•Integrated Modbus RTU devices to TCP Gateways for SCADA servers and established PLC network redundancy (RSTP) and Industrial Networking (Modbus/Profinet/EtherNetIP/Fiber Optic).

 

Intern at Genetec Technology Bhd. (Dec 2021- Feb 2022)

•Assisted project engineers in assembly and wiring of Automation Stations like Ferrite Feeder Machine, Multi-Level Buffer and 3-Axis Gantry Gasket Dosing.

•Wiring, crimping and routing of wires for Siemens ET200SP I/O & Festo IO-Link Modules.

•Carried out assembly of a pneumatic rotary modules, grippers for housing assembly stations and  routing of pneumatic tubes to Festo Solenoid Modules. 

 

Intern at ABB (Robotics Business) (Dec 2020- Feb 2021)

•Assisted supervisor in calibration and programming of ABB robots using RobotStudio.

•Prepared user manuals, tutorial videos, SolidWorks Simulations and AutoCAD schematic drawings.

•Designed a 3D Printed IoT Gripper which integrated to a ABB robot using Python and RobotStudio. A user interface was designed for the teach pendant using RobotStudio SDK.

Final Year Project: Design Optimization of Pneumatic Soft Grippers with Machine Learning

•A Bayesian optimization approach to optimize the morphology of soft grippers to improve grasping performance using MATLAB.

•Designed 3D printed gripper mount and integrated it to a robot programmed using Python.

Cyber-Physical Systems: Smart Aquaculture System

•Team Lead for an IoT aquaculture system using Python, Node-Red and Firebase Cloud Database.

•Dashboarding using Grafana and image processing for plant health detection using MATLAB.

Automation Project: Internet of Things Sorting Machine

•Team Lead for 3D printed sorting machine using a Siemens S7-1200 and IOT-2000 Gateway.

•Machine performance data is stored in Firebase and is controlled using a simple HTML website.
