Vivien Wee

I am a keen storyteller, and it is currently a work in progress. I’m always looking for creative challenges to tell stories that matter.

Having a love for storytelling, I believe in telling intimate stories that can impact and inspire the public. My career aspiration is to be in an industry that allows me to make a difference in the lives of many while upholding the principles of justice and equality, especially for the most vulnerable members of our community.

These volunteering and work experiences made me want to be in a profession that allows me to assist others. It also allows me to grow as a person and have more empathy for others. In a world that is so set on tearing itself apart, I believe I have a part to play in putting a little bit of it back together. This is what keeps me going.

I worked with Difilm Pixel as a part-time videographer and video editor during my studies at Nanyang Polytechnic. Afterwards, I completed my internship with Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office in 2019 as a Communications Intern and Channel News Asia (CNA) - Insider in 2020 as a Visual Journalist Intern. 

Wanting to understand more about the radio industry, I applied to work for Mediacorp's LOVE 972 and YES 933 as a Programming Trainee, where I designed several posters and videos for their social media.

During COVID, I decided to make a career switch. I worked as a Legal Secretary at I.R.B Law LLP and Chambers Law LLP.

I am currently completing my internship with CNBC as a News Editorial Intern, where I worked alongside the Producers on the rundown of the daily program of the show.

I graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mass Media Management in May 2020. Afterwards, I pursue a Bachelor's in Communications with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
