I live and breathe narratives. Games, movies, web novels, light novels, anime, manga; if there's a story, I want to appreciate it.

I believe in the “complete package” - plot, characters, setting, visuals, modes of interactions, and sounds (if applicable) should all be used to enhance the experience for the audience. Since it's difficult for one person to do all of that, I also believe in collaboration via effective communication across departments and and (potentially) cultures. My undergraduate studies in Philosophy at NTU, with a Minor in Creative Writing, has helped me find a marriage between these two things - the complete package and communication - I consider imperative to good narratives.

I have worked as a copywriter at Apt811 Design & Innovation Agency, during which I copyedited existing content on their websites and portfolio. I also wrote new content for them, including narratives for clients' new images and logos. I also produced most copy used in the Singapore Institute of Management's Open House 2019 and Singapore Polytechnic's Open House 2020. My narrative surrounding APT811's goals and projects also contributed to the company's acceptance into a government-wide vendor shortlist.

While a student at Nanyang Technological University, I worked as a Communication Coach under the LCC Communication Cube and collaborated with clients to improve their English written and spoken communication. This involved empowering them to express themselves confidently and clearly not just on paper, but when presenting.

I also did a stint at Jambar Team Building as part of their Operations team. There, I liaised with clients on their desired team-building objectives and worked with emcees and part-timers to deliver meaningful activities aimed to improving company cohesiveness and communication.

I have an Honours in Philosophy with a minor in Creative Writing from Nanyang Technological University. My education has empowered me to better approach creative writing - both others' and mine - analytically and meaningfully. I can also better communicate to others who are not “on the same wavelength”.
