I'm Yanbao a year 3 student from the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
I'm currently pursuing a Computer Science degree and looking for an internship for
my summer vacation. I'd always like to learn and challenge myself by participating in
various projects and involving in online courses. I believe the more knowledge I'm
equipped with, the more powerful I will be. As the project manager of IES, I also
managed to share my knowledge with other students through workshops
and teaching some basic algorithms in a coding hackathon.
I would like to become a software engineer for my future career. I did some projects
related to this field. One project I did was“Pick Before Go”- Android App
Development that intends to provide customers with a better shopping experience
in Pick & Go. We worked in a team of 7 and followed the Agile method to develop the
product. As a backend developer, I focus on developing the app's features and
am always willing to change and improve even in the late stage of the project. This term, my team would develop a discord bot that employs the Elo system for Age of Empire2 to ensure the players can play a balanced game and improve their game experience. Apart from pure software, I'm also clear about the importance of AI so I also did many projects as well as part-time jobs to improve my AI skills. Since AI is a big trend, possibly in the future AI will be employed as one of the essential features in many systems. I’m preparing myself
to get ready to combine what I learn in software development and AI to make smarter
systems.
My skills: Python, Java, JavaScript, DiscordJS, Angular, React, HTML+CSS, SQL Software
development methodologies, machine learning/deep learning, TensorFlow and
PyTorch, Linux operating system, algorithm and data structures. And I'm always
eager to learn new things and able to learn very fast. So I'm confident and happy to
deal with anything I have not seen before.
