As a Business Analytics major with a background in Java Spring Boot development, I am eager to transition into a career path as a Business/Data Analyst. With a unique blend of analytical skills and minor experiences in development, I am excited to return to my roots of working with data and big data to provide significant value to companies.

Throughout my journey as a Java Developer at DBS in Singapore, I gained valuable experience refactoring legacy code for improved reliability, scalability, and maintainability. I also developed REST APIs using Java Spring Boot and Maven, created reusable Jenkins Pipeline jobs, and crafted SQL and Groovy scripts for efficient database operations. Additionally, I strengthened code coverage and addressed vulnerabilities using tools like Sonarqube, Nexus IQ, and Fortify. I am well-versed in SDLC methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, and I rely on Jira, Jenkins Pipelines, and Confluence for seamless project management.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics (Financial Analytics) from the National University of Singapore, where I graduated with honors. During my studies, I completed several impactful projects, including a portfolio risk management project that involved analyzing mutual funds in the telecommunications sector using metrics such as Sharpe Ratio, Alpha, and Beta. I also implemented a speech tagging system based on the Hidden Markov Model and developed a student portal application using Vue.js and Firebase. Moreover, I designed a predictive model using XGBoost to identify future dengue hotspots based on climate and historical data, and I trained classification models to predict loan default probabilities.

In my internship as an Associate Business Analyst at Integrated Health Information Systems, I gained practical experience in performing data verification, monitoring workflows, and conducting basic querying and data engineering using tools like Excel, Informatica, and Microsoft SQL.
