Reporting to the Head Strategy & Supply Chain for GA&P APAC, you will help to bring our organization together by designing and leading our team's internal engagement strategy, help strengthen and advance our strategic priorities, support key regional and market policy priorities, and integrate new processes and tools within the organization to improve the way we innovate, collaborate and measure our impact.


Key Tasks:

  • Track and strengthen execution of the GA&P APAC strategy, aligned to business priorities and WWGA&P strategies.
  • Develop and execute a holistic internal communications/employee engagement plan for GA&P APAC (including Summit, Townhalls, leader communications, etc.)
  • Create & manage the systems and processes to support GA&P APAC, including collaboration tools for use with internal stakeholders, informationsharing resources, and mechanisms to improve efficiency and coordination.
  • Oversee and manage the adoption of the GA&P CRM tool for stakeholder management across APAC.
  • Design in collaboration with sector leads and execute capacity building programs for the GA&P APAC team
  • Develop and execute an external communications plan for the GA&P Leadership team, to amplify key international forums, company announcements and GCI initiatives with policy stakeholders.
  • Support the annual goal setting, monitoring and reporting process across GA&P for APAC.
  • Support the GA&P lead for APEC in developing and executing the strategy to maximize our engagement in this prioritized international forum
  • Partner effectively across adjacent functions (e.g. communications) in the business as well as with global GA&P stakeholders.
  • Support sector and marketspecific projects as needed, aligned to regional and market GA&P priorities.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop a strong understanding for the J&J APAC business including our people, operations and external operating environment.
  • Understand the GA&P market and regional priorities, as well as the key healthcare risks and opportunities for our key markets
  • Become a partner and trusted advisor to the GA&P APAC LT and broader team members
  • Operate as a role model to all by ensuring that everything they communicate and undertake is consistent with the J&J Credo.
  • Work with the team to develop a welldefined Government Affairs strategy which is aligned to the broader business imperatives of the Company.
  • Strengthen team engagement through effective communication, best practice sharing, and team recognition initiatives
  • Establish strong external presence for J&J GA&P in key online and other platforms, to amplify our company reputation with policy stakeholders
  • CRM tool adopted for J&J APAC GA&P stakeholders and tracking consistent utilization of tool across APAC for team.
  • Ensure goal setting, reporting and alignment for GA&P APAC is effective and aligned to global priorities
  • Establish strong connections with key internal partners (e.g. GCI, Communications leaders)

Qualifications:

The position requires an experienced manager with proven ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This will be a unique opportunity for a leader to expand their regional knowledge and support key strategic initiatives. The individual must have a proven track record of good performance and ability to manage individuals and project teams.


The person must:

  • Possess at a minimum a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Have a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience with a proven track record in Government Affairs, Policy and/or Communications (private or public sector, NGOs, media or other relevant institutions), with a desire for further career growth in the GA&P function for future.
  • Demonstrate experience in or strong interest in healthcare/health policy
  • Have strong presence, outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership and influencing skills, an established level of credibility and strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrate a mature, adaptive and flexible disposition to credibly and effectively interact with a range of senior level executives across the global business and broader market segment.
  • Have proven ability to master complex regulatory and policy issues, and to translate them into clear and concise messaging of direct relevance to the Johnson & Johnson business (commercial, R&D, Regulatory etc.).
  • Have the ability to anticipate emerging issues of importance to J&J, and to prioritize appropriately.
  • Be highly articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong capability in Microsoft tools
