    Roles & Responsibilities

    NEA is the lead agency for planning for after-death facilities and services in Singapore. You will be part of the Memorial Facilities & Planning Division which oversees the planning of after-death facilities and services in Singapore. You will be providing operations planning capability to ensure that the Government after-death facilities are efficiently managed and operated.

    You will be responsible for the following:

    • Operations planning including process reviews
    • Carry out reviews relating to department's operational policies and work processes, as well as IT systems
    • Drive and implement process reviews and technologies for adoption operationally to enhance productivity, service assurance and streamline processes and to bring about greater convenience to members of public
    • Develop plans and manage Emergency Crisis Response for after-death services
    • Plan land use including planning and development for office buildings
    • Review and manage budget planning including monitoring of budget utilisation
    • Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, call new tenders and execute contract variations, ensure that Government Procurement guidelines are adhered to and value for money purchases are attained.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity
    • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and automation tools (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Robotic Process Automation)
    • Experience in procurement, tender calls and presentation will be an advantage; Knowledge in Government Procurement Instruction Manuals is a bonus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
    • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
    • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders
