We are already leading the way with our delivery business and looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the Deliveries design team and help us create the path for our dining business.

From helping customers order through the Grab app while dining out and allowing merchants to use the existing POS systems to manage their dining-in customers, this role will need you to think holistically about the Grab Food ecosystem.

Get to know the Team


As a Senior Product Designer in the Deliveries team, you will join a group of talented product designers, researchers and content writers who are defining the future of how people enjoy their food.

Based in Singapore, you will command a high level of independence and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, analysts and business teams in helping us define the Scan to Order business for customers who are dining at restaurants.

While customers get access to the rich data on the Grab app like menu, popular items, reviews and payment methods; while at the same time providing merchants with better tools to reduce the workload of their staff.


Get to know the Role

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Define the consumer experience of dining in a restaurant while using the Grab's ecosystem and the benefits it provides.
  • Define the merchant experience of having the Grab merchant app take on the job of taking orders and payment information so that the restaurant staff can focus on other tasks.
  • Ability to deep dive into this nascent problem space of delivery apps being used in the world of dining out which is an established industry.
  • Ability to get on the ground to do guerilla testing, concept testing and usability testing for different ideas to help the team define the right solution for dining out customers.
  • Work with other project stakeholders to deliver the information architecture, user journey map & wireframe flow customers who will be using the Grab app for dining outside and merchants who will rely on Grab POS to handle dining usecases.
  • Advance the knowledge and quality of our consumer and merchant experience by working across the dining out problem space.
  • Independently deliver artifacts that set the standard for design excellence, from ideation, prototyping and validation that can inspire other designers.
  • Create high fidelity prototypes and work closely with the engineering team to develop and ship high quality product solutions.

The Must-Haves

  • Online portfolio with prior work experience in the Food dining industry and additional experience in the Food delivery business.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a product designer in the food industry.
  • Excellent understanding of UX design for the web, mobile, or touch devices with prior experience in the merchant POS system designs
  • Working knowledge of common mobile/web and frontend web development to create quick POS prototypes for testing with our merchants
  • Experience with running guerilla testing, concept testing and low fidelity UTs to help the team arrive at the right solutions.
  • Good eye for visual design & handson experience in user interface design.
  • Experience with current and relevant design tools like Figma, ProtoPie among others.
  • Ability to prototype and demonstrate design concepts to extended stakeholders.
  • Experience in service design, conducting user research through various methods, and ability to translate research finding into tangible product feature requirements or improvements are a plus.
