About the job Freight Manager:

We are currently looking for a freight & inventory manager who reports to Head of Distribution Centre & Logistics for our Singapore based operation.

We are in the most exciting phase of the business Warehouse digitalisation and transformation.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

Freight management:

In charge of coordinating with Forwarders, exporters, transportation crews, warehousing companies, and retailers on all matters related to shipping, logistics and freight management
Establish relationships with vendors and suppliers to develop new business opportunities on freight related matters
Optimizing operating cost through negotiating rates and schedules for shipments, identifying best rates for freight shipments
Ensure operational risk is minimized through engaging insurance companies for cargos damage & loss during transport
Evaluating potential clients shipping needs and recommending appropriate solutions
Assess carrier performance based on customer feedback and implementing changes where necessary
