[What the role is]

Lecturer (Veterinary Nursing)

[What you will be working on]

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the development and delivering of Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) programmes in the areas of animal care, and veterinary nursing.

. Develop and conduct lectures, tutorials, and practicals in full-time and part-time courses.
. Manage and perform day-to-day operations at TP Animal Clinic and Wellness (TPACW) as a veterinary technician on a rotating schedule.
. Train and supervise student trainees at TPACW.
. Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaboration projects.
. Carry out administrative duties to support academic and clinic operations.
. Able to work in the evenings for CET night classes.
. Mentor students in character development and career readiness.
. Provide pastoral care for students.

[What we are looking for]

. Qualification in veterinary technology/veterinary nursing or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
. At least 3-5 years of relevant industrial experience in a vet clinic/animal hospital.
. Experience in animal rehabilitation is preferred.
. Familiar with 'Day One Competences' for Veterinary Nurses.
. Have a passion for developing talents, and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult learners.
. Keen to be involved in applied research/industry projects.
. Resourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
. Demonstrated capacity to work within a team.
