Senior Electronics Engineer, AE Responsibilities
New Product Introduction
Develop electronic subsystems for control of the surgical and industrial microscope.
Perform circuit design and development of electronic subsystems.

Lead in reviewing the new products design and provide constructive feedback to the development team from manufacturing to quality perspectives.

Review product design for manufacturability.
Develop Process Parameters, Jigs & Fixtures and Process Controls for new products.
Lead in transfer, commission and qualifying new products for mass production.

Existing Product Sustainment
Lead in First Pass Yield (FPY) and Yield Improvements activities.
Cell and Work Station layout with Lean Manufacturing concept.
Analyze production issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
Support engineering process yield improvement/kaizen events.
Engineering roles and responsibilities in EC and MRB.
Participate in new parts/vendors qualification and First Article Evaluation.

Others
Comply and adhere to company Quality Management System and Environment, Health & Safety Management System requirements.


Requirements:


Master or good Bachelor degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with preferably at least 5 years of experience in electronics design and development.

Rich knowledge and experience in the design of the real-time embedded system for servo systems, robotics, motion control, and computerized control.

Competency in PCBA design/review/verification is a must.
Knowledge or experience in some of the following areas is an added advantage:
USB, CAN bus, I2C bus and microprocessor architecture.
Control theory
FPGA design
Power regulator circuit and analog circuit electronics design
Software development using Visual C++ on Windows platform
Language proficiency in English
Minimal travel.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to interact effectively with all levels of staff, both locally and overseas.
Knowledge of FMEA
Knowledge in Optics is highly preferred.
Systematic in problem-solving approach.
Personal Trait Profile
Leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good Project Management Skill to ensure Quality Bowlers are met and other deliverables.
Takes the time, makes the effort with the right tenacity to do what it is necessary to meet expectations
Is personally accountable and takes ownership
Has the highest personal integrity
