Reporting to the Estate & Wines (E&W) Managing Director, the Business Development Director, Asia is responsible for the business growth of E&W brands in the APAC region through effective implementation of Brand Strategies.

He/she ensures delivery of sales and profit contribution in line with the brands' budget through the Moët Hennessy network of affiliate companies.


Drive Commercial growth & development

  • Work closely with Markets to build and implement strategies that drive business development, enhance brand penetration and prioritize Brands
  • Work with Markets to analyze and review Pricing, Brand Positioning, Portfolio, Distribution Penetration and Channel Mix and
  • Manage P&L of E&W brands of each market

Execute business reviews and analysis

  • Conduct regular Business Reviews as well as assessments of risks and opportunities
  • Track marketing activity of E&W Brands and the competition in Region/Markets
  • Monitor all relevant competitor activity and reporting

Implement Marketing and Communication Programs

  • Work with Region/ Markets on Brand Plan Development and annual Winemaker travel programmes
  • Collaborate with E&W Marketing Team to develop new and compelling marketing and promotional concepts for trade, media and consumers
  • Act as an Ambassador for E&W in Region/Markets, participating as a host for wine events (trade and consumer), creating excitement and awareness of E&W amongst distribution teams.

Operations, Reporting & Projects

  • Work closely with all partners to manage allocations by Markets
  • Actively participate in Budget forecast and submissions, aligning it with E&W strategy on Asia
  • Prepare quarterly reporting to E&W Managing Director on all aspects of business in Asia
  • Monitor and manage business operation expenses
  • Represent E&W on transversal projects with crossfunctional, regional or global teams

Requirements:


  • Degree qualifications in Marketing or Business
  • At least 15 years' relevant experience in Business Development / Marketing &/or Sales
  • Industry experience in Wine & Spirits, Perfumes & Cosmetics or Luxury Goods is a plus
  • WSET Certification is a strong advantage
  • Good understanding of the Asian Market & Culture
  • Strong sales and business acumen, analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal relationships
  • Strong customer focus, action orientated and be able to plan and set priority for strategies.
  • Solid problem solving, negotiation and communications skills
  • Fluent in English with proficiency in other language(s) will be an advantage
