Events Executive | Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

The Events Executive is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, including conferences, awards, and other seminars and social events for the HR and business community.

This person will work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure that all events are executed to the highest standard, within budget, and on time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute events, including conferences, awards, hackathons, seminars, webinars and other corporate and social events
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure all event logistics and details are in place
  • Create and manage event budgets and timelines
  • Develop event plan for the year
  • Conceptualise event theme and topics
  • Source for sponsors, partners, and speakers for the events
  • Coordinate event registration, attendee management, post event surveys sharing of resources
  • Assist in the development of event marketing and promotional materials
  • Manage onsite event logistics, including setup and breakdown
  • Act as the point of contact for attendees, participants, partners, speakers and vendors during events
  • Measure and report event ROI

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, or related field
  • 23 years of experience in event planning and coordination
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of event planning software a plus
