Reporting to the Area VP, AA, JAPAC.

The position will be the principal connect between IMCO (International Marketing and Commercial Operations) and all countries in JAPAC by helping countries carry out portfolio prioritization in line with the AA International Marketing strategy.

This individual will be a member of the AA Area Leadership Team and a core member of the International Brand Team.

This individual will understand and advocate for country marketing needs and ensure that needs are heard and prioritized effectively.

The incumbent will also ensure the percolation of Brand and Launch strategies from IMCO to countries and will help countries get access to tools, training and resources needed to build Execution Excellence assessing, building and augmenting marketing capabilities in the different countries.

In addition, the position will directly lead strategic initiatives and key projects for the region. This includes leading cross functional teams, project management, new product launch planning and tracking.

IMCO will work with the countries and JAPAC Leadership Team to ensure country priorities, resource allocation and activities are aligned with the international, area and local plans.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Leading strategic alignment between IMCO and JAPAC countries

  • Liaising with IMCO on an ongoing basis to present the strategic needs of each of the JAPAC countries to ensure adequate attention and support from IMCO for:
  • Portfolio prioritization
  • Launch readiness in countries in the form of Plans, Tools, requisite Training and relevant information needed for launch success.
  • Ensuring alignment between countries and IMCO with regards to brand strategies; ensuring percolation of marketing plan from IMCO to countries.
  • Working along with all JAPAC Functions (Medical Affairs, Price & Trade Channel and Business Excellence etc.) to ensure deployment of Marketing Plans.
  • Oversee Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) plans and activities per country and ensure alignment with strategic plans. Assess and augment AMI capabilities in countries to ensure appropriate dissemination of medical education. 40%
2) JAPAC Strategy and Regional Project Management

  • Develop a clear filler strategy for JAPAC and priority markets within AA 40%
  • Project Management for key priorities within JAPAC
  • Partnering with local markets on gotomarket/launch strategy including marketing campaigns, communication etc. Curate and share best practices and process efficiencies across team
  • Lead new product launch planning and implementation
  • Ensure country execution is aligned with the regional priorities
  • Lead JAPAC Governance
3) Capability Building

  • Assess and augment marketing capabilities in all the countries to ensure countries have Aclass marketing talent.
  • Structure and conceptualize ongoing marketing capability building programs for JAPAC to ensure the Marketing team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to support business growth.
  • Focus on building capabilities in the areas of Digital marketing as a key driver for market differentiation and business growth.
  • Build top class launch capabilities across JAPAC.
LI-AA

  • Bachelor Degree in medical or pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Business Studies
  • An MBA or equivalent qualification in Marketing would be preferred
  • Overall experience of around 15 years or more, including Pharma Marketing experience of around 810 years at a Country / BU level for a large business.
  • Past experience of Sales & sales management
  • Project Management and a proven track of leading cross functional teams
  • Experience and indepth understanding of one or more of Allergan Aesthetics Key TAs would be a plus. Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)
  • Committed, credible and enthusiastic with an actionoriented approach and sound current knowledge of the local country healthcare marketplace.
  • Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills. Strategic Planning to drive the vision, overarching strategy, and positioning for fillers at the area level.
  • Strong Project Management and/or Product Launch skills
  • Excellence in Managing key Brand portfolios at a country level.
  • Significant capabilities in tracking the latest market tends and generating outsidein perspectives.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills
  • Selfstarter able to operate effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Excels in a fast paced and dynamic environment, calm under pressure.
