- Ensure adherence to data formats and protocols to maintain compatibility with the company's software platform, especially in the context of vehicle integration.
- Conduct thorough testing of new hardware releases to verify functionality and performance in automotive environments.
- Provide feedback to hardware providers to improve device quality and meet industry standards for automotive applications.
- Assist installers during vehicle deployments by verifying device functionality, performing wiring tasks, and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for device testing procedures, data formats, protocols, automotive integration guidelines, and wiring instructions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IoT technologies, trends, and industry developments, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, project managers, automotive specialists, and customer support to deliver high-quality IoT solutions for vehicle applications.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in testing and validating IoT devices for automotive applications, with a good understanding of automotive systems, protocols, and IO ports.
- Strong understanding of data formats, protocols, and communication technologies relevant to automotive IoT (e.g., CAN bus, OBD-II, telematics).
- Proficiency in performing wiring tasks and connecting IoT devices to vehicle systems using appropriate IO ports.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in automotive environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including automotive engineers and developers.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance in automotive IoT solutions.
- Collaborate with product management to identify new features and enhancements to the IoT platform, with a focus on automotive applications.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and participating in customer demonstrations or presentations related to automotive IoT solutions.
