What the role is

  • As the Manager/ Executive Manager for Organisational Excellence (OE), you will be part of the team to galvanise NEA to achieve and sustain high levels of performance. We do this through organisationwide programmes for workplace safety and health (WSH), innovation and quality (ISO9001). This role is to drive NEA's WSH policies and procedures in ensuring WSH compliance and governance corporatewide.

What you will be working on

  • You will work in partnership with the line departments to plan and manage all WSH culture and capabilities functions to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of our WSH Management System.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan, manage and coordinate organisationwide events and WSH forums to engage staff and increase WSH awareness.
  • Oversee curation and rollout of WSH communications, including managing the platforms for WSH messaging (e.g. Posters, WSH Alerts, videos, advisories).
  • Partner with training institute and line departments to develop and review WSH training curriculum to build inhouse WSH capabilities and to consolidate WSH training needs.
  • Devise and implement recognition systems to recognise teams and staff for WSH excellence or performance.
  • Measure and determine the safety culture of the organisation, using CultureSAFE or other methodologies. This includes survey planning, execution, analysis and management reporting.
  • Develop and nurture WSH communities in NEA.
  • Manage WSH reporting channel and to see through case closure.

What we are looking for

  • Good knowledge of the Singapore WSH Act, Environmental Protection and Fire Safety legislations, Codes of Practice and Singapore Standards.
  • Has at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in the areas of WSH functions, events management, or related to culture building.
  • Registered WSH Officer or Specialist Diploma in WSH (or equivalent) will have an added advantage.
  • ACLP/ACTA certification (or equivalent) will have an added advantage.
  • Excellent writing, communications and engagement abilities.
  • Organised and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Mature, independent and resourceful.
  • Selfdriven and always ready to strive for improvement.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
  • As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
