    What will you do?

    • Review, evaluate, draft, and negotiate various sales-related documents (such as Purchase Orders, RFQs, RFPs) to ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
    • Must be well-versed in reviewing and responding to relevant subjects in requests for quotation (RFQs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and similar documents.
    • Examine the complete bid document package to identify terms needing approval, collaborate with functional owners to accept or negotiate alternative terms as needed by the business.
    • Manage government-public contracts at federal, state, and local levels, including the oversight and approval process for commencing new contracts, negotiation, reporting, fee payment, and compliance.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of legal, financial, regulatory, and business risks in sales orders, contracts, and subcontract terms and conditions. Effectively communicate these risks to company decision-makers as needed, interacting with various departments like sales, order management, legal, finance, etc., across the entire Thermo Fisher Scientific organization.
    • Grasp the fundamentals of commercial sales, including pricing, delivery, warranty, and payment terms, as well as legal aspects related to liability, such as indemnification, insurance, and limitation of liability.
    • Suggest acceptable alternative contract terms to the company where customer and company conditions vary.
    • Conclude and settle agreement terms directly with customer personnel and attorneys.
