    Roles & Responsibilities

    Income Insurance Limited (Income Insurance) is one of the leading composite insurers in Singapore, offering life, health and general insurance. Established in 1970 as the only insurance co-operative in Singapore to plug a social need for insurance, Income is now a public non-listed company limited by shares, which continues to serve the protection, savings and investment needs of individuals, families and businesses today.

    As the Head of Agency and Talent Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our agency channel by overseeing the recruitment, retention and development of our financial consultants. Your leadership will be instrumental in building a high-performing team of professionals and ensuring the attainment of business objectives and growth targets.

    The candidate must have a strong ability to communicate, attract, analyse and execute appropriate recruitment strategy and plans. He/ she needs to manage budgeting, forecast exercises and the onboarding processes. To be successful in this role, the head of recruitment should also have experience in the evaluation of candidates, familiar with financing schemes and recruitment trends.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    Agency Recruitment and Expansion

    • Develop and execute strategies that complements and highlight the strengths of the company for the recruitment of consultants to meet growth targets.
    • Familiar with existing trends in the market and refine recruitment plans accordingly.
    • Explore new recruitment channels and execute well eg social media, new platforms, methods, programs.
    • Communicate clearly to stakeholders' expectations, targets and methods.
    • Identify and assess potential agents and lead efforts to onboard and integrate them into the agency.
    • Ensure a continuous pipeline of potential agents to sustain agency growth.

    Budgeting, Schemes and Finances

    • Design and refine financing schemes to attract both experienced and new hires.
    • Recruitment reward schemes to incentivize referrals and new recruits.

    Market Intelligence and Strategy

    • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence.
    • Provide insights and implement changes to achieve growth targets.

    Talent Management and Development

    • Design, implement, and oversee training program for rookie consultants to enhance the skills and knowledge of agency force.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to consultants to improve their sales, client servicing and recruitment abilities.
    • Develop aspiring leaders to Fastrack and to fulfil their potential.

    Monitoring and Review

    • Monitor and review performance of new recruits and recruitment schemes.
    • Analyse recruitment and retention trends and devise action plans accordingly.
    • Review effectiveness of recruitment events and budgeting.

    Branding and Marketing

    • Provision and update of an effective recruitment kit for leaders' use.
    • Strengthen brand image of company so that company becomes the company of choice to new recruits in the market.
    • Provision and update of recruitment collaterals to attract talents.

    Operations

    • Smoothen and streamline current new recruit onboarding process.
    • Organise recruitment contest and incentive.
    • Participate in job fairs and career events.
    • Organise recruitment seminars/ Business Opportunity Presentations (BOP)
    • Conduct panel interviews and regular performance reviews.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Diploma/Degree holder with at least 5 years of sales experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
    • The ideal candidate ought to be a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for developing talent and building a successful insurance agency channel.
    • A strong leader who is proactive, independent, energetic with good people skills and an effective team player.
    • Able to communicate (written & verbal) effectively with all levels in the organization.
    • Good understanding of excel will be useful.
    • Candidates should also be knowledgeable about labor legislation, LIA guidelines and MAS regulations.
