    Description

    The Insurance Risk and Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) at the Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) to oversee research projects focusing on mortality and health risks in collaboration with the Global-Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) and NBS faculty.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop models and forecasts for mortality rates during pandemics and climate changes, with a focus on Asian countries
    • Analyze the impact of pandemics and climate changes on life and health insurance, as well as retirement products
    • Produce assessment and advisory reports to aid in risk financing solutions
    • Create high-quality research articles and industry reports
    • Present research findings to GAIP sponsors and the academic community
    Job Requirements:
    • Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Insurance, Statistics, or related fields
    • Demonstrated research expertise with publications in reputable journals
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a broader audience
    • Previous experience in the insurance/actuarial industry and relevant designations are beneficial
