Roles & Responsibilities

An Infrastructure Senior System Engineer is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies within an organization. Their primary role is to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure solutions and systems
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows servers and systems.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other related services.
Configure and troubleshoot virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

· Configure and maintain cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, networking, storage, and security.

· Install, configure, and manage Windows servers and services at datacentres.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support enterprise-wide solutions.
Perform routine system and application updates, patches, and upgrades.
Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Provide level 2 and level 3 support for Windows-related issues.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and application deployments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Preferably 6 years of working experience in a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions/operations
Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, and load balancing.
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
Familiarity with monitoring tools and systems management solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are a plus
