Portfolio Manager (Alternative Distribution)

What the day will look like

Accountable for building a market-leading proposition and its execution planning Globally (US, Latam/Caribbean, APAC, EMEA) in the Alternative Distribution sector including Third Party Client MGA's and Aon Proprietary Client Treaties, design and placing of Reinsurance Binding Authorities and Fac Facilities across multiple specialty Reinsurance products.

• Accountable for managing Portfolio Management Performance Analysis across all binders and/or product mix
• Co-ordinate with Aon's internal Modelling internally and review CAT exposure outputs
• Co-ordinate and review with the Underwriting Agencies with respect to Pricing
• Aggregate Monitoring and discussions with all parties (Capacity provider, Underwriting Agency)
• Establish Delegated Authority Broking Strategy which will include obtaining New Capacity and Renewal(s)
• Develop New Product line to Underwriting Agencies (i.e. Affinity, Casualty, Marine etc)
• Monthly BXD – Monthly Risk bound and Premium Payment revenue reporting and Forecasting
• Review Underwriting Guidelines
• Binder Agreement review (developing and modifying binder wordings)
• Co-ordinate with Modelling team for CAT Reporting each quarter
• Profit Sharing/Sliding Scale Commissions Oversight
• Managing General Agents Market reports
• Captive Management
• Additional tasks/projects as determined by business needs. Skills and experience that will lead to success
• Relevant experience in Treaty & Facultative reinsurance
• Good relationship development skills, in dealings with both internal and external stakeholders
• Effective problem solving, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
