What the role is

  • This position is part of a sector leadership development team that works closely with multiple stakeholders to build the leadership bench strength of Singapore's social service sector, through capability building, talent identification, talent management and succession planning.
The successful applicant is someone who has a passion for people development and the curiosity to learn. This individual is also collaborative, has strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

The job holder will support project implementation, liaise, and communicate with colleagues across ministries, external vendors including consultants and researchers, as well as Boards and leaders of social service organisations.


Project Management

  • Assess social service agencies' funding proposals for Board and leadership development
  • Support project managers in project schedules, budget, fund disbursements and documentation
  • Monitor utility of funds and compliance to funding agreements.
  • Review interim deliverables and final results of initiatives.

Build the Social Service Sector Leadership Development Landscape

  • Conduct landscape scans and research to identify resources and gaps in the leadership development efforts of the social service sector
  • Analyse organisational data and metrics to evaluate effectiveness of interventions and project outcomes
  • Build and maintain database

Foster partnerships to support Social Service Agencies in leadership development

  • Participate in and organise networking events to engage social service agencies
  • Build, retain and grow relationships with social service sector leaders to support them in transforming their Boards and organisation to fulfil their strategic, financial, and operational goals.

Personal Competencies:


  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Curious, organised, and able to link multiple data points to find answers based on changing problems/insights.
  • Proactive in asking questions and proposing new ideas.

Skills & Knowledge:


  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • HR knowledge is a plus.
  • Graphics and data visualisation; able to use Tableau or other software is ideal.
  • Able to perform simple queries in a database environment and/or use data tools a plus.

Experience:

This is an entry level position, but prior experience in HR-related work is a plus
