- Collaborating closely with the classroom teacher, Intervention Specialist, and Special Education Teacher to create a child-centered learning environment
- Engaging actively in planning and conducting child-centered learning activities
- Working with individual students and groups under guidance
- Assisting in maintaining a well-managed and organized classroom environment
- Enhancing the team spirit within the school by promoting its philosophy and policies
- Providing support to the Intervention Specialist during emergencies
- Supervising students during break/lunch times
- Ensuring the safe utilization of school transport
- Maintaining the safety and security of students at all times
- Performing any other reasonable duties assigned by School Management
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and show initiative
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficient in computer usage

- Minimum 1 year of experience in working with children or relevant educational certification

Position Objective
The main goal of the role of Teacher Assistant is to aid the Intervention Specialist and Special Education Teacher in delivering the education program within the classroom and supporting activities inside and outside the classroom. The focus is to ensure that students are safe, content, and absorbing knowledge in a favorable and nurturing setting.
Responsibilities
In this role, it is essential for the job holder to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people. They must comply with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures consistently. Identifying any signs of potential harm to a child either at school or home is a crucial responsibility, and reporting such concerns to the designated Safeguarding Lead or appropriate authorities is imperative.
