Governance and Information

  • SINGAPORE-FRASERS TWR(SGP)
  • Singapore
  • On the basis of existing laws and rules issued by the Company, the compliance officer DG APAC is responsible to implement and maintain the various actions necessary for the deployment and operation of compliance program:

Regulatory Compliance Assessments and Controls:


  • Conduct proactive compliance assessments of business activities and strategies to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Work with the various stakeholders (GRP, business departments, internal control, legal and external resources) to identify improvements to be made to compliance processes
  • Implement Compliance program in DG APA region in accordance with the Company norms;
  • Present and promote compliance program across all operational and functional entities in the region
  • Perform activities required of Compliance Officers and to the Fraud Risk Coordinators in accordance with the directives, "métier procedures" or recommendations, including the due diligence tasks that are required therein;
  • Regarding due diligences, ensure double approval (at local CO and REN CO level) for DD as per HQ criteria (to be reviewed annually).
  • Alert the GRP Branch Compliance Officer (BCO) and the REN Compliance Officer team of any violation of the rules and/or any incident of corruption that comes to his/her attention, and keeping the BCO and REN Compliance Officer team abreast of the status of the case;
  • Analyze incident of fraud (or fraud attempts) transmitted to him/her and, if relevant, defining, coordinating and structuring an action plan, ensuring followup with the help of the REN Compliance Officer team and of the Branch Fraud Risk Coordinator as needed;
  • Alert immediately the REN Compliance Officer team and the Branch Fraud Risk Coordinator and any identified functions at branch or corporate level in certain incidents (or attempts) of fraud;
  • Provide assistance to the different sectors of the entity on directives and procedures relating to compliance framework and program
  • Coordinate with the BCO, REN Compliance Officer team or Affiliate's HR Division, promoting training tools (including elearning) and raisingawareness and training actions required by compliance program and monitoring performance indicators giving the participation levels within the region
  • Monitor regional compliance actions across all entities, the directive and norms are being followed properly
  • In liaison with the REN Compliance Officer team, the BCO Team, the local Legal Affairs Department and with external counsel as necessary, maintaining up to date information on the legal situation regarding Anti-Corruption laws, rules, and regulations in the country, and communicating this information to the BCO and REN Compliance Officer team.
  • Report periodically on compliance activities to the REN Compliance Officer team, the BCO, and annually to hub MD; maintaining the necessary reporting data (in required format) in order to accomplish these reporting requirements

Regulatory Oversight:


  • Monitor the developments regarding new requirements and regulatory proposals
  • Conduct regular test and routine audits for all operations in all departments to ensure proper business conduct, ensure that results are published to the Management Committee, and ensure proper deployment of compliance program

Documentation:


  • Establish and maintain a secure and detailed archiving /document conservation system, particularly with respect to due diligence documentation, according to Company rules
  • Establish, maintain and update written regulatory compliance program documentation for assigned areas of responsibility and obtain the necessary internal review and approvals for such documentations
  • Comply with the rules of archiving and conservation of documents, including "due diligence" files, according to the rules issued by the Company.

Context and environment

  • The Compliance Program is part of a reinforcement of the Company Integrity policy and aims to address changes in and tightening of international conventions and regulations and national laws and their enforcement.
  • REN maintains a high growth rate, both organically and externally, on a global geographical scope, with increasing organizational and financial complexity that must be planned, organized and managed in coordination with the GRP Branch and the Company's financial department
  • 510 years of International Business Law or Compliance Professions.
  • Knowledge of compliance framework implementation in MNC environment
  • Strong experience in compliance is required
  • Familiar with corporate governance, legal and regulatory updates of APAC countries
  • Experience of renewable energy business in Asia is a strong plus
  • Successoriented and comfortable working in a dynamic, high pressure and fastpace environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
