- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical-based education to meet the competency and learning needs of nurses at all levels.
- Facilitate induction, supervise and support nursing students, new graduate RNs, and newly employed nurses within the unit by providing appropriate induction and Continuing Nursing Education programs. This involves preceptoring of nurses.
- Conduct clinical supervision and regular assessment of nurses' competencies to ensure the set targets are met.
- Collaborate with Nurse Leaders and take the lead in learning-needs assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating competency-based educational and training initiatives.
- Work closely with Nurse Managers (NMs), Nurse Clinicians (NCs), and other Nurse NEs on relevant staff development, clinical-based in-service, and continuing education for the clinical units and hospitals.
- Develop curriculum using active and creative learning methods, evaluation, and innovation in nursing education.
- Demonstrate desired team and leadership behaviors as a role model.
- Regularly update and maintain training statistics.
- Carry out other assigned duties as necessary.
- Hold an SNB Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate.
- Have a Post-Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing Specialty.
- Possess a Certificate/Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education.
- Nursing Administration/Management/Education Degree Qualification is desirable.
- Have at least 2-4 years' experience as a Nurse Educator II.
- Preferably, possess specialty experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in nursing practice.
- Preceptor/Nurse Clinician experience is preferred.
- Showcase desired leadership behavior.
- Exhibit clinical and technical competency.
- Possess coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and work effectively in teams.
