- Pharmacy Assistant (to Pharmacy Technician) - Temporary to Contract
- Frontline duties:
- Handling phone or walk-in inquiries from patients and their families
- Providing financial guidance on Government schemes, subsidies, or insurance plans
- Verifying medication supply for patients at designated clinics
- Backend tasks:
- Picking, packing, and labeling medication prescriptions accurately and efficiently within set timelines
- Managing medication stock and inventory, including monitoring buffer stock, checking near-expiry meds, and receiving store deliveries
- Detecting and addressing prescription errors, and assisting with prescriber clarifications
- Performing ad-hoc duties as required
- Minimum 3 GCE 'O' level credits in English, Mathematics, and Science OR NITEC/Diploma in any discipline
- At least 2 years of work experience (healthcare background advantageous but not mandatory)
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Passionate about healthcare and providing top-notch customer service
- Independent, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

As part of TTSH's initiative to develop Pharmacy Technicians, the Pharmacy Assistant to Pharmacy Technician program supports individuals (including those looking for a career change) to progress towards becoming a Pharmacy Technician.
Applicants will start with an 8-week temporary hourly-rated contract as a Pharmacy Assistant. Depending on performance, candidates may receive an offer for a 1-year contract (renewable) as a Pharmacy Assistant.
The roles of Pharmacy Assistants include frontline and backend responsibilities:
Outstanding performers may be supported to undertake the Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC) to become certified and advance into a Pharmacy Technician role.
