- Performing service tasks of medium to high complexity, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, retrofits, and repairs independently.
- Identifying technical problems and conducting analysis through remote or on-site activities across various service categories such as installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades, retrofit, and end-of-life service.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer orders and expectations.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and understanding their needs.
- Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring the availability of all materials, parts, and equipment of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Creating standard lists for streamlined work processes. Generating and maintaining all necessary documents and reports for customer approval.
- Reporting completed work promptly and following up when necessary. Identifying potential equipment failures and implementing proactive corrective actions.
- Troubleshooting complex equipment failures and making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Identifying suggestions for product, quality, and customer service improvement and discussing them with management for potential changes.
- Upholding high standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices and working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents. Consistently applying functional processes while considering connections to other teams.
- Possession of a degree or diploma in an engineering-related discipline.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems.
- A strong understanding of HMI, DCS, SCADA, PLC, IT, OT, P&ID, safety, and automation systems.
- Preferable knowledge in ABB Automation Systems (800xA / Symphony S+).
- Experience in maintenance, testing and commissioning, FAT, and SAT in automation systems.
- Preferable working experience in oil, gas, chemical plants, offshore, power, and water industries.
- Willingness to travel and work outside of Singapore/Malaysia, including in the Asian region and offshore locations.
