Description

Group Risk Management (GRM) is an independent function responsible for ensuring that risk management practices at OCBC Bank are effective and comprehensive.


GRM builds and drives the Bank's businesses through an integrated risk management approach relying on strong risk analytics to support strategic business decision-making and to create a competitive edge for the Group.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop new credit policies and manage/enhance existing credit policies through regular policy review and updates to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness with alignment to the Bank's risk standards/appetite, wholesale lending business strategy and compliance to regulations.
  • Engage relevant internal stakeholders proactively to review, update and implement the policies bankwide. These stakeholders may include other risk management units, business units and credit administration unit etc.
  • Respond swiftly to regulatory changes and work with various stakeholders to ensure MAS regulations are incorporated, where appropriate, into the policies and processes.
  • Work with subsidiaries to ensure prompt adoption and localisation of the assigned policies.
  • Review localised policies of subsidiaries/overseas branches for assigned credit policies to ensure compliance with OCBC Group standards.
  • Ensure effective communication and implementation of policies including advisory and training if needed.
  • Involve in crossfunctional projects to ensure that credit risk standards and controls are adequately incorporated in relevant credit policies for effective implementation across the organisation.

Qualifications

Requirements:


  • At least 15 years of direct experience in corporate credit risk management.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the MAS regulations for credit risk management, corporate credit risk management cycle and control processes.
  • Effective communicator with good collaborative skills and ability to handle multiple stakeholders to drive results.
  • Possess leadership skills to lead projects and manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong writing skills is a prerequisite.
