Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintenance database checking and updating to ensure efficient vessel maintenance is being carried out.
  • Check and ensure that all Makers maintenance requirements are updated and periodically reviewed in the Planned maintenance system.
  • Review and update Risk assessments for critical tasks in conjunction with technical manager.
  • Assistance with Service arrangements for Technical Managers as needed.
  • Follow up with vessels on Overdue Maintenance tasks.
  • Plan for major repairs and overhauls as per makers recommendations in accordance with allocated budgets and purchasing options.
  • Back Up Ship Management processes for Technical Managers as needed.
  • Day to day vessel handling support for Ship Management team.
  • Provide support & Backup for Purchase department.
  • Assist in record keeping and update internal database with repair, overhaul, inspection, condition, inspection reports.

Requirements:


  • Prior exposure to Foreign Going vessel fleets and Ship Management process, such as repairs & maintenance or purchasing.
  • Sailing experience would be an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
