About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
As a member of Global Markets Technology team, the Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for the following:
Managing application software delivery:
• Primarily in-house built systems. There are also some legacy vendor systems.
• Plan technical deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project's requirements within allocated budget and schedule.
• Plan & collaborate across different application teams to manage technical dependencies of the solution
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery
• Provide status update to stake-holders/business users and program manager
• Lead and partner with developers, testers, business analysts and SME's to drive technical delivery
• Partner with enterprise architects to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards
• Partner with testers to ensure completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance / load testing and application security testing
• Prepare and manage technical implementation plan across application teams - coordinate technical implementation activities across application teams to ensure smooth production cutover and adequate post implementation support
• Manage level 3 support (after helpdesk and app support) and production issue bug fixes.
• Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions.
Job Requirements
• Over 15 years' experience in working on an FX trading system, ideally in a top-tier bank.
• Experienced in leading an agile development and testing automation team.
• Good business domain knowledge in FX. Optionally in bonds, equities, derivatives and structured products.
• Good in mathematical and logical problem solving as this role involves understanding of complex pricing calculations.
• Communicates well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Optionally, has previous experience in coding a trading system.
• Experienced in UI
• Coding experience to build a modern FX Algo E-Trading low-latency system in Java
• Some front-end development using Javascript (optional)
