Responsibilities
- Check and follow up on all guest dry cleaning and laundry.
- Responsible for fulfilling all emergency guest laundry and pressing needs on the overnight shift.
- Perform minor tailoring needs of staffs i.e. repair a tear, hem or popped button.
- Maintain bar coding on all colleague's uniforms in an efficient manner.
- Scan all uniforms as they come into the department.
- Send out all scanned uniforms and print out daily uniform lists.
- Check daily on uniform discrepancies.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room.
- Ensure correct usage of washer/dryer machine, presser and ironing 'suzie'.
- Keep Laundry Manager informed of any laundry/uniform issues.
- Liaise with uniform cleaning company to keep track of any employee complaints.
- Collect all linen and terry from each of the guest service landings.
- Sort all soiled laundry prior to washing. Separate all torn linen, terry items and bathrobes by size and log the count in the daily log sheet.
- Separate all torn linen and terry to be used as rags.
- Maintain a count of all spa, banquet and restaurant linen dropped into the Housekeeping linen room.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised work space.
- Maintain daily records of all linen coming in and leaving the building and keep the Assistant Director of Housekeeping informed of any discrepancies.
Job Requirements
- Adaptable and can work in a fastpaced environment
- Willing to do shift work, work on weekends and public holidays
- Training will be provided
