WHAT YOU WILL DO:

To perform KYC due diligence of new relationships and existing clients as a maker or checker
To conduct checks and due diligence on these clients primarily looking out for PEP/ Adverse news/ information that may be detrimental to the reputation of the bank (Individual/ Corporate)
To liaise and coordinate with Front Office and Client Services Team on the collection of the KYC documents/information
To escalate complex cases to local Compliance Manager/ Officer for advice, clarification or validation where applicable
To provide guidance and sharing of KYC knowledge among team members and other departments
Inputting and maintenance of the data/accounts of the Clients into the KYC database
Ensure accurate and proper maintenance of statistics for timely MAS reporting/other adhoc reports and perform monthly reconciliation on the KYC Status versus Opened Accounts of the existing clients.
To take part in projects and perform UAT testing assigned by the Manager/ Officer
To perform adhoc screenings and other duties assigned by the Manager/ Officer

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Bachelor's Degree Holder in Banking & Finance or equivalent
Minimum 23 years of experience in KYC / CDD with a good understanding of AML/CFT Framework and KYC documentation processes
Good understanding of the AML/KYC Regulatory Requirements in Asia (in particular MAS, FSC, and FSA)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with crossfunctional teams and capable of working on own initiative and prioritizing workload
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, highly motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
Ability to multitask and execute tasks with a sense of urgency and with the ultimate goal of delivering tasks on time
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
Good written and oral communication skills in English & Mandarin and the ability to interact effectively with people at different levels

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT:

You will report to the Chief of Compliance and collaborate to the fulfillment of the missions of the department and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across departments and staff.

EMPLOYMENT:

This is a 2-year term contract.
