Development Engineer to join our Technical team in Neste Singapore.
Your part in Neste journey
In this role, you will lead the development of investment projects in accordance to Neste's Plant Investment Process Engine (PIPE) principal as Development Manager.
You are expected to lead the early phase of the projects, incorporating safety, compliances, cost effectiveness and fit-for-purpose approach, while ensuring the business objective are met.
Your Main responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage refinery capital investment projects at their early phases including technical and business evaluation.
- Prepare the investment concept, conduct prestudy and feasibility studies and finalise the scope for project definition and execution decision.
- Retain responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle and be accountable for precommissioning, commissioning and startup planning.
- Ensure project resourcing, HSEQ reviews, required authority approvals and permits.
- Facilitate Business Engineering Alignment meetings.
- Propose continuous improvement on investment systems and processes in alignment with business objectives.
- Singapore refinery Technical, Operations, Maintenance, HSSEQ, Finance, Procurement
- Counterparts from Global Asset Development and Information, Rotterdam and Porvoo team.
- External EPC, QP, Authorities, Technology Providier, vendors and contractors.
Keys to success in this role
- BSc./MSc. in a relevant technical field and understanding of production economics, operations and technology.
- More than five years of work experience in operations and/or in capital investment projects within oil refining, petrochemicals or other comparable industry.
- Experience in leanding/ supporting Project development with a track record of delivering successful projects.
- Knowledge and experience on process safety principles and processes.
- Ability to learn, develop and grow within the organisationand committed to continuous improvement
- Good cooperation and influencing skills, enabling successful working with multiple stakeholders during different phases of the project
- Innovative mindset to approach challenges from different angles and being creative in coming up with solutions
- Strong planning and organising skills and result oriented mindset to plan and meet the project targets
- Experience in working within an international organisation
