Our client's Microsoft Business Solutions team is a Microsoft Gold Partner and leader in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations, providing their clients with the ability to keep up with the ever-changing digital world by implementing Microsoft's M365, Azure, Microsoft's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) software line.

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Technical Solution Architect with extensive experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise D365FO projects. With hands-on experience and will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems architecture that will meet business needs. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants, working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused on D365FO functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst leading and mentoring more junior Staff.

This role is therefore key to our client's customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.

Requirements

Experience and Background

• 10+ years of relevant technical experience in Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance &
• Operations (D365FO)
• 4+ years of proven experience leading and delivering end-to-end solutions using the
• D365FO platform
• In-depth experience with:
• Microsoft Azure and Power Platform
• Integration Patterns and Data Migration
• Environment Strategies and DevOps
• Object-Oriented Design and Test-Driven Development
• Experience working with Common Data Services (Dual-Write) for integration with Dynamics 365 applications
• High-level expertise in designing, developing, and delivering solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology, Configuration Management, and Performance/Testing Automation Tools
• Conversant with functional business processes
• Proficient in Visio, Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project
• Proven track record of delivering full project lifecycles
• Expertise in performance evaluation and career development strategies
• Ability to manage and optimize team performance across projects
• Strong experience with consultancy firms

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Professional certification: MB-700: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent Leadership skills – with proven work experience as a Solution Architect and/or a Senior Technical/Functional Role
• Excellent organisation and prioritising skill
• Strong decision-making and team management capabilities
• Proven track record delivering the full project lifecycle

Responsibilities

Project Responsibilities

• Owns the technical end-to-end solution:
• Ensures end-to-end solution cohesion and correctness
• Designs and takes responsibility of the governance for an integrated system that meets the product-owner's vision
• Assesses the systems architecture currently in place and works with technical staff to continually improve it
• Provides leadership and guidance to the team throughout the implementation to
• ensure accurate delivery of project plans
• Owns the specifications and requirements into the systems and environment Architecture
• Provide on-site support as required by company or client
• Assists the Functional Solution Architect and consultants with technical requirements gathering and provides design guidance
• Facilitates discussions with business and technical stakeholders to translate the critical business requirements and present a technical vision and solutions in the form of software products, customizations, and integrations
• Provides regular updates on any developments in systems architecture projects
• Possesses deep knowledge of the Dynamics 365 platform including Finance and
• Operations, Power Platform, and ability to integrate with 3rd party applications with a particular strength in identifying what can be delivered out of the box and when it is fitting to use custom development
• Provides current best practices and solution alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents
• Responsible to provide training to end users with client team about D365 F&O overall Architecture
• Navigating user interface and system administration module in D365
• Communicates effectively with our client's member firms and clients, leads meetings and Workshops
• Ability to successfully communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences both with and without deep technical skills
• Identify technical risks, mitigate them, communicate with necessary stakeholders and owning resolution
• Devises scope and owns estimates for sales proposals and statements of work
• Is able to assess and compare the business impact of relevant technical implementation Options
• Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors & Leads

Practice Responsibilities

• Identify and provide regular updates on practice development activities and help in defining a strategy how these will be delivered
• Research continuously current and emerging technologies and proposes changes were Needed
• Coaching and mentoring other employees within the organisation
• Reports to the performance manager as an official line of internal performance reporting,however reporting to the engagement leader and project manager specifically in project Assignments.
• Assisting in Technical Interviews
• Performance manage and/or mentor junior members of the team
• Support practice development activities such as defining and configuring industry specific Templates
• Always represent our client in a professional and positive manner.
• Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory trainings
• Adhere to best practice and our client's technical standards during all project implementations
• Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors & Leads
• Willing to travel abroad when required
• The Employee is required to follow our client's Information Security Policies (ISP and ISMP) at all times
