Job Purpose:

Pricing manager works closely with Commercial Excellence Director, BU Head Finance and BU Marketing Director on strategic decisions on pricing.

Person's role is to define and align countries optimum pricing of products to the market which helps in delivering PnL while managing cubical velocity at retailer (LSO/SSO) and Projects.

The role will responsible for both setting the price in competitive scenario and getting the price to deliver PnL objectives.

Role will help in running long term win win relationship with customers thru heart mind and pocket. Deliver mix and CM% plans for AkzoNobel from the All GTM.

Role will also help in executing all customer facing transaction on account of pricing thru proper management of accounts and compliances as per the law of land.

The following key areas will be delivered by the role:

Role is responsible for delivering contribution margin to deliver PnL
Defining retailer profitability to get optimum cubical velocity
Defining optimum Project site pricing.
Responsible for Discounts and rebate management.
Execute Automation for faster customer service, accounting transparency and compliance.
Build market Intelligence for pricing decisions.
Build Intelligence on raw material index and impact on customer pricing.
Liaison with compliance, Finance and legal for all the processes.
Responsible for managing audits for order to cash cycle.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Setting up pricing Setting prices with understanding of market landscape and competitive environment
Understanding of objectives or role of product
Understanding of raw material price movement and impact on product pricing
2. Defining and Managing Retailer velocity Getting the price and volume
Defining retailers' margins considering competitive environment
Building intelligence around competitive offerings in market
3. Automation of pricing processes to build transparency and compliance Aligning organizations to drive G to N automation.
Executing all pre work and post work.
Building capability and standardize process.
4. Managing compliance and Audit Scheme design as per compliance approvals
Audit of all spends thru company appointed auditors

Experience:

Post graduate degree with 1215 years of experience in Sales experience with paints will be an advantage
Should possess strong analytical skills ability to analyse own data vs. market/competition data to arrive at insights
Understanding of multiple geography and nuances on pricing practices and competition.
Influencing skills
Clear communication skills (written and verbal communication skills) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
