THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast-moving broking environment.

This diverse role will sit in our Singapore office and is ideal opportunity for an experienced business development professional looking for the next step in their career.


Key responsibilities:


  • Execute our sales strategy targeting hedge funds, investment banks, ship owners, oil refineries, miners, grain companies and steel mills in accordance with strategy set by Senior Management team
  • Proactively maintain and enhance existing relationships with clients as well as source new clients, aiding them through the onboarding process in conjunction with compliance; develop crossselling opportunities to secure new revenue streams
  • Communicate on an agreed regular basis to all relevant stakeholders
  • Conduct lead generation activity, taking an active role in the sales process
  • Assist ad hoc with projects
  • Provide reports on sales activity as required by management team
  • Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policies
  • Exercise judgement and act with integrity, due care, skill and diligence
  • Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities
  • Observe standards of market conduct and ensure understanding and adherence to all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to role
  • Complete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlines
  • Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require

Risk related responsibilities:


  • Understand regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape
  • Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policies
  • Exercise judgement and act with integrity, due care, skill and diligence

  • Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities
  • Observe standards of market conduct and ensure understanding and adherence to all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to role
Training

  • Regular reporting on training needs to Senior Manager
  • Centre of expertise and knowledge for relevant products and markets
  • Complete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlines
  • Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD)

Requirements:

Key competencies / skills

  • Possess excellent knowledge of all FIS products and markets; sound knowledge of derivatives as well as underlying markets
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to understand and execute contracts
  • Strong client focus; personable and engaging building relationships and networks wherever possible
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Tenacious and thrives in a pressurised environment

Salary:
$2, $10,144.23 per month
