This is a Quality Control (QC) Shift Chemist position (on a rotating 12-hour shift) reporting to Quality Lab Manager in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Plant and is responsible in performing QC Lab analytical testing and all the required tasks supporting lab operations in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) working environment.


What will you do

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, training and performing laboratory testing, method evaluation and qualification with all the relevant necessary documentations

For example:
In-process control and cleaning samples, intermediates, etc.

  • Responsible for ensuring the analytical methods/ specifications used are in accordance with requirements specified in our company Quality Standards, regulatory dossiers and pharmacopoeia.
  • Manage the calibration, maintenance and qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • Support and active participation in deviation management meeting/discussion for atypical results, lab safety and other lab critical milestones / initiatives.
  • After 12month, you are expected to:

Complete the trainings for all critical analytical techniques and fully supporting all lab activities (within lead time/KPI) independently in a safe and compliant manner.

Multitask, have good time management, able to keep track of due dates and timelines of the tasks assigned.


What you must have

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or other equivalent analytical chemistry qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience with knowledge in analytical skills such HPLC/GC is preferred.
  • Must be committed to working 12hour rotating shift (including Saturday/Sunday). Shift allowances will be provided
  • Meticulous, neat and has effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • A good team player with ability to handle task independently
  • Able to handle stress and can work in a fastpace environment.
