- Plan and setup the research arm for SLEC and the Institute Review Board with NHG or SingHealth.
- Develop research policies and guidelines.
- Develop evidence-based research and experiment capabilities that will contribute to building strategic narratives that will enhance the quality of life for the elderly population.
- Set up research clinics and apply research grants for all research.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on related fields that will provide deep insights to the needs of the elderly and community care sector; research should consider perspectives of elderly, doctors, nurses, care staff where appropriate, and be geographically as well as socially inclusive.
- Conduct scientifically rigorous research at national and international levels par excellence, involving large representative samples and necessitating multi-centres research. Research output is expected to be theoretically grounded and methodologically strong.
- Effectively communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all staff involved in research are trained in CITI certification.
- Ensure that Research Publications and Portal are updated and maintained.
- Candidate must possess at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Social Science or Sociology, Medical Science, Nursing or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required.
- Excellent communication, writing, problem solving and project management skills.
- Forward thinking, with a strong interest in exploring new growth areas and knowledge.
- Demonstrated use of technology and software programs to assist in data management and analytics.
- Demonstrated application of high ethical standards in research work and publications.
- Preferably specialised in Healthcare, e.g. Nurse, Medical Support, Assistant or equivalent.
- Team leader with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Capable of working independently and under time constraints.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

We provide a suite of integrated services and programmes which include social day, dementia, nursing and respite care, along with Rehabilitation programmes such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy, wellness programmes and transportation. Through these services we hope to provide the finest service to the elderly in our care.
