Freight Manager Responsibilities:


  • Managing both Ocean and Air freight for the company businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia.
  • Working with multiple freight partners across Nth America, Europe and Australia to export goods to Nutrition Asia markets including intercompany transfers.
  • Developing budgets and forecasts for freight costs over time to ensure that costs are controlled.
  • Negotiating freight rates, selecting carriers and negotiation contracts with carriers to ensure competitive costs.
  • Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
  • Supervising logistics and process shipments.
  • Researching ideal shipping strategies, routing, and carriers.
  • Reviewing bills of lading and other paperwork to ensure that shipments meet legal requirements.
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Developing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the import and export transportation.
  • Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.

Qualifications and education requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
  • Outstanding analytical, problemsolving, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
