- Formulate and articulate SP Group's positions on regulatory policies and analyse regulatory developments in local and overseas markets.
- Drive and safeguard the Group's strategic and commercial interests in its core electricity, gas and district cooling businesses, new energies and telecommunications.
- Supervise and lead market research on regulatory policies and analyse regulatory developments in local and overseas markets especially those impacting the energy, technology and telecommunications sectors.
- Overall responsibility in the preparation of financial models, papers and presentations to SP Management and Board for update and to seek approval.
- Review revenue and tariff scenario analysis, commercial and risk assessment.
- Represent SP in government and stakeholder relations engagement.
- Lead the SP team in multi-agency studies, special projects and new businesses
- Provide strategic oversight on negotiations of commercial agreements with major customers and manage customer relationships for certain new businesses.
- Be able to travel occasionally on short notice.
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in commercial structuring, policy planning and regulation of energy infrastructure in Singapore and elsewhere, with insights to ongoing developments in this space.
- Strong engagement experience with top management/Board and Government agencies.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organise, analyse and disseminate significant amount of information in a concise manner, with attention to details and accuracy.
- Adept at responding to queries, report writing and presenting findings, with good communication and business writing skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and financial modelling. Familiarity with programming tools of SQL and Power BI is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with good initiative as a self-starter, strong sense of urgency and is a team player.
- Experienced in supervising and guiding a team of junior staff.
