Description

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Rate and Tender Coordinator will be responsible for Coordination and Completing Country, global and regional Tenders, RFI's and RFQ's, participating in the RFQ process from initial Request for Information until delivery of Request for Quotation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepare rates and organize company information for Country tender process and RFI and RFP's request regional or worldwide pricing for all transportation product lines.
Coordinate bid submission and analyze data from Country Subsidiary.
Provide detailed shipping activity reports upon request.
Provide monthly reporting on overseas response to RFP's.
Maintain and update pricing country database.
Monitor Global and Regional Accounts KPIs with presence in the country.
Provide and work on shipments reports.
Provide high-quality support to the country sales team in all its activities
Participate actively in bringing in ideas for the Team's activities and take responsibility for related work packages (ie. stakeholder management)
Help in creating high-quality, high-value add reports (including pipeline management reports, and BRF's needed to set up reports) and in collecting and assessing results once they are in place
Collect best practice examples for continuous improvement
Assist the roll-out and implementation of global sales processes, standards, and guidelines
Ensure compliance with Tender Management process;
Analyze tender and distribute tasks to internal stakeholders, and review/validate information received from the internal stakeholders;
Oversee the entire process which includes the development of response format/pricing matrix/responding to queries as well as timely submission of RFI, RFP and RFQ to customers / bid owners;
Provide a quality proposal to the assigned bid owner and/or other Tender Management Teams for validation and submission to the customer;
Support and maintain pricing database
Maintain tender data profiling and records, including the update of monthly bid log and completed tenders;
Support market intelligence on competitors pricing, capabilities, facilities, client base, products and services for competition analysis;
Ensure post bid analysis to be performed by bid owners for all bids, both successful and
Unsuccessful Tenders. Ensure received tender feedback is shared with relevant functions in the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent organizational skills
Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
Excellent written/verbal communication skills are mandatory
Highly energetic, assertive, self-starter with positive, confident personality and strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in standard corporate productivity tools including Microsoft Office. CRM experience helpful
Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment to achieve results, or independently with self-direction

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma required
College degree or equivalent experience preferred
Fluent English and Spanish
Portuguese preferred
Experience in pricing and tender management related to process of aviation or maritime companies.

ENVIRONMENT:

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
