Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to join our finance team. The Account Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance department with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Support the finance team in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Handle inquiries from clients, vendors, and internal departments regarding accounting issues.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or relavant Diploma in Accounting, Finance is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Autocount,UBS,SQL).
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
