    Assessment and Documentation Requirements:

  • Perform informal and formal assessments in the areas of speech and language - Formulate appropriate individualized intervention goals in the areas of speech and language
  • Suggest appropriate types of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) for children - Document, review and report on the progress of the intervention (e.g. write school testimonials, Individualised Education Plans (IEP) goals, PEP reports, maintain own documentation in Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) format)
  • To work with children and educators in providing appropriate oral-motor activities. To work on feeding for children who display difficulties with eating (picky-eaters).
  • Plan and provide group and/or individual therapy as per individuals' needs and goals

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive screenings of children with additional needs in preschool settings to identify their strengths, challenges, and individualized support requirements.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and Allied Health Professionals to gather relevant information and insights about each child's developmental goals and specific needs.
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans for children with additional needs, outlining specific strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with preschool teachers and Allied Health Professionals to ensure that the intervention plans are feasible and align with the preschool curriculum and goals.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to preschool teachers to enhance their understanding of different disabilities, learning styles, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Conduct workshops and professional development sessions to promote inclusive practices, positive behaviour support, and the use of appropriate assistive technologies and resources.
  • Conduct 1:1 therapy for pre-schoolers who require additional support, in our network of schools o Provide in-house support for group-therapy for children with varied needs
