In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of IT Governance, PMO & SAM for APAC, overseeing financial operations, budgeting, and financial planning for IT projects and initiatives.
Collaborating closely with various internal stakeholders such as IT Solution Delivery teams, IT Infrastructure & Applications Operations, IT Financial Systems & Corp Apps, Project Management Office, and our Head Office Governance teams.
The role of IT Governance Manager acts as a liaison between the IT and other business units or departments. The primary responsibility bridges the gap between the IT department and the finance function within the organization.This role is to provide financial expertise and support to the IT department while aligning IT initiatives with the overall financial goals and strategies of the company.
Additionally, analysing the financial impact of IT projects, initiatives, and investments to assess their viability and potential return on investment (ROI).
We are looking for an excellent communicator, meticulous and analytical professional who are keeping up with industry trends and technological advancements to provide informed financial recommendations for IT initiatives and financial reporting to join our growing team in the Asia Pacific Regional office in Singapore.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborating with IT functional leaders to create and manage the IT budget, including forecasting expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities by teaming up with respective team members within the Asia Pacific IT.
Partner with IT functional leaders or their members in preparation of the business case for proposed IT initiatives and projects focusing on IT value creations, outlining the financial benefits and risks to facilitate decision-making.
Monitoring IT expenses, identifying areas of cost overruns, and proposing cost optimization strategies in partnership with IT functional heads without compromising the effectiveness of IT services.
Harmonize within IT, Finance, Tax and Legal stakeholders on intercompany charging mechanisms, ensuring equitable cost allocation and compliance within the operating guidelines as defined.
Generating financial reports and dashboards related to IT expenditures, variances, and performance metrics accurately while providing transparency and accountability for IT spending towards IT management.
Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the budgeting and financial reporting processes through process streamlining and automation where applicable.
Actively participate in the IT governance process, ensuring that IT investments are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and provide a strong return on investment.
Partner with respective IT functional leaders to understand their financial needs, align IT spending with business priorities, and provide financial insights to support IT strategy development.
Establish financial governance frameworks for IT spending, including approval processes and financial controls to maintain fiscal discipline while adhering towards accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Introduce financial training and guidance to IT staff and other non-financial stakeholders to enhance their understanding of IT finances and foster better financial management practi
