Roles & Responsibilities

The Security Engineer oversees security operations, provides leadership to internal resources, and enhances the resilience of security operations. They coordinate reviews of security programs, establish escalation processes for incidents, and focus on policy implementation and control. The role involves monitoring security systems and activities, developing contingency plans, and disaster recovery procedures.

Implement security operations strategy:

Contribute to defining the security strategy
Align security operations with business objectives
Advise senior leaders on critical security issues
Advise on security policy and controls
Provide expertise on security technologies and concepts
Offer oversight for security tool deployment

Monitor security systems:

Develop monitoring plans and incident response strategies
Identify critical security metrics
Create detection and alerting rules
Monitor service levels
Present status reports

Maintain security operations:

Coordinate 24/7 security operations coverage
Review existing programs and protocols
Ensure compliance with security policies
Drive security operations improvement
Perform Firewall rule reviews

Respond to security incidents:

Set guidelines for incident processing
Review incident reports
Develop contingency plans
Coordinate incident responses
Oversee emergency protocols
Recommend procedures for security breaches

Requirements:

5 years of relevant experience
Risk assessment experience
Experience in security technologies and policies
AD/ID administration experience
Cloud security experience is a plus
Exposure in IM8 or equivalent
Experience in various security technologies
