Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements.
Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e., Inter-company billing, GL reconciliation, financial covenants, etc.)
Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines.
Coordinate and liaise with external and internal parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, legal, local tax, and government authorities where required.
Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (such as CIT/WHT/Tax queries), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
Review existing SOP and assist in new processes and system implementation when required, streamlining tasks, and eliminating repetitive tasks while ensuring internal controls are adhered to.
Responsible for monthly review and analysis of Vessel Operating Expenses
Responsible for liquidation inactive/dormant entities
Minimum Diploma in Accounting or any equivalent professional qualification
At least 5 years working experience in Management Accounting function.
Experience in Shipping Industry will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and proficiency in SAP will be an added advantage.
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently.
A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
