Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting.

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

The Accounting Manager supervises accounting staff and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
  • Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledgers. Supervises, directs and reviews the work of the accounting staff including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, regional office reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, fixed asset activities, payroll, accounts payable transactions, recording of expenses, etc.
  • Cash and foreign currency risk management including management of vendors' payments and hedging of FX exposures
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities for both internal and external purposes, including GST and GTP preparations
  • Provides and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Perform special assignments and projects as required and any adhoc duties as and when required
  • Motivate the team to achieve goals, oversee and monitor team performance, and assist with recruitment and appraisals
Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Accounting or Finance, Professional Accounting Qualification eg CPA and Chartered Accountant
  • At least years of accounting experience working in a large complex multinational organization
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, Excel, Blackline and Concur
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including IFRS and US GAAP
  • Good Leadership experience, detail oriented with analytical, research skills, and inquisitive approach to problem resolution
  • Effective time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize assignments, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, show initiative, and take responsibility
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism, adaptability, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, growing environment, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills
