    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Develop hedging plans to support physical traders to manage market risks
    • Support the commercial/trading team to manage physical exposures, hedge and trade in the LNG and Oil Products markets
    • Generate value to the LNG and Oil Products desk
    • Work closely with Unipec Beijing HQ Paper Trading team and responsible for the daily report to Unipec Beijing HQ to facilitate audit checks performed by respective China government agencies and/or Sinopec HQ
    • Work closely with the commercial/trading team to continuously improve the overall business performance
    • Strict adherence to compliance on company risk management policies and procedures and maintain highest standard of safety and ethics
    • Preparation of internal reports of paper trading for management review
    • Support ad-hoc duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of Paper Trading experience in the gas/LNG/Oil Products industry
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of China Financial Derivatives related management policies and requirements
    • Familiar with Sinopec Group Financial Derivatives business management measures and implementation requirements an added advantage
    • Familiar with Sinopec/Unipec's relevant management policies and measures for counterparties and brokerage institutions an added advantage
    • Fluency in spoken & written Chinese, with the ability to comprehend written documents and ability to write professional business reports
    • Strong quantitative skills
    • Experienced with Bloomberg, Platts, Wood Mackenzie platforms
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and data-management systems
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient at working with individuals from diverse background; works well with physical traders and internal/external stakeholders
    • Good analytical, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills
    • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and proficient at adapting quickly to changing situations
