    Roles & Responsibilities

    JOB DESCRIPTION: INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE (SECONDARIES)

    Our client is one of the world's largest Private Equity investment management platform with a stellar track record that has spanned over many decades. Headquartered in the US, it has numerous global offices and a well-established Singapore office (regional HQ) based in the heart of its Central Business District.

    With its reputation as a progressive international investment outfit, the firm prides itself on its entrepreneurial spirit and a collaborative culture that values and respects diversity and innovation.

    As the firm continues its growth in the region, it is now seeking to hire a self-motivated Associate to join its Secondary Investments team in Singapore to lead principal functions including investment analysis, due diligence, investment recommendations, negotiations and deal monitoring.

    Capable of working both independently and part of cohesive team, this Associate will be a bright and dynamic individual capable of leading smaller transactions from sourcing and analysis through to closing. He/ She will also be able to support senior investment professionals in larger transactions, while getting the chance to learn from a team of seasoned PE Investment professionals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform in-depth analysis of potential secondary investments and present findings to senior investment professionals within the Secondary Team
    • Maintain dialogue during a deal with sellers, agents and GPs as appropriate and build external relationships in the context of a deal for future investment opportunities
    • Coordinate upfront legal and tax work between deal stakeholders to close transactions
    • Perform analysis to evaluate secondary investment performance: update calls with GPs, financial statement analysis, attendance at annual meetings, and primary and secondary research where appropriate
    • Assist in investor communications for regular performance reporting and for fund investment updates
    • Prepare annual meeting, reporting materials and assist in updating marketing materials
    • Identify, contact, and introduce potential sellers to help drive deal flow

    Qualifications / Experience

    • Bachelor's degree with Honours
    • 2 - 4 years of work experience ideally gained in an international investment bank, PE/VC firm or in-house corporate M&A with strong transactional experience.
    • Evidence of high performance standards in previous position(s)
    • Well-versed in financial modelling, financial statement analysis, accounting principles, equity markets and equity valuation.
    • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with mastery of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
